Typical.. I got bored of my Ranger and only enjoyed playing with a pet, so now that I delled him they make a zoo. I seriously think Eles and Rangers are boring nowadays but I love playing with a pet. Before I delled him I wanted a zoo. *Sigh*.
I'll definitely enjoy the Z-quests though, maybe they'll give Zaishen rep so we won't have to spend mills on keys (PL0X) XD.
Yeah, I seriously doubt that, myself, but here's hopin'.

No offense to Linsey. But from what I've learned about Anet for the past 4 years, when Anet's spokeperson says "it's unclear" or "I think" or "I have a feeling" they tend to be WRONG.

And yes I'm a cynic when it comes to Anet. I guess I've been with them for too long (unlike most people here).

That's a point but then again will it matter? If you don't have the campaign then don't take the quest. i don't think its unfair that quest is made for another campaign and not your one. Hopefully they make it quite balanced and if they offered a nightfall quest today then they would offer a factions one later....
Its not like you ahve to wait long if you want another quest.

Almost everyone has all the campaigns anyways.. They are super cheap.

Seriously, though, it looks like Linsey is saying that an equipment bag on a mule won't be able to store weapons/offhands/armor customized to other characters. That's a bit of a bummer. But, at least it will give my mules a place to put greens and loot weapons other than sticking them on heroes, so they'll be easier to find.

Yes the bussiness model of GW is No Monthy Subscription Fee, but there have always been Purchasable Upgrades for the accounts at least the 2 years I have been playing. I have bought a character slot and the skill unlock packs for NF and Factions(specifically for my hero's skills) which meant less spending of in game gold for skills. While I have only recently (somewhat) registered on Guru I have to say I haven't seen so many people whine about a great game anywhere. I can only say that I am glad that Guru only represents a Small slice of the GW community and I hope the Devs understand that.

4 yr Vets will be getting new mini pets that they can sell at super inflated rates to get even more money for them selves. Yet this isn't enough for them. "Give me more" not even a please or thank you to what you have or what we are getting. Give me a break. We all bought the game a free to play online game, be thankful the game is of this quality for its type.

Buying additional accounts for Mules and Z-Keys. Be my guest. I would rather have the ability to have easily accessed storage then having to sift though 20 accounts to find what I want and transfer to another and jump through those hoops. And you who complain about GW economy and have lots of multiple accounts...what about all the Z-Key farming you are doing. You are only seeing things in your own perspective, you are also "contributing" to the economy.

Server space is limited so having to buy a page for more space by buying panes is fine cause it also helps pay for the people at GW to keep working on GW 1 and development for GW2. Be happy with the free tab on your character for weapons and armor, which is what most peole need the space for becaue of their different builds. And while it may seem that $10 is a bit high Anet may not have a say in that through the store, is there even an item less then that purchasable?

Sorrows Furnace as i understand it had the full GW team at the time working on it, not what 7 for the live team if that? I for one appreciate the WORK the team put into the update for Me and Everybody else even if others do not. Keep up the good work.

A month lull in skill updates is not a big deal. Hardcore PvPer's have complained on this but to be fair you do not pay for GW as much as the PvE community does...charater slots, expansions, skill unlocks for heros, and soon pet unlocks, and storage unlocks. And yes while some PvPers do PvE, the ones that "complain" the most seem to be those that don't PvE at all or say they don't cause PvE does not require skill. It's a month, less then that now before you proabably get your balances relax and chill please.

If you want constant free content go to WoW and pay $15 a month for server and content. I love that constant free content people say they put out. Content is Not Free, people work to put it out, respect them and their abilities or do it yourself.

I hope that wasn't too confusing. In Short appreciate what you get it may not come again.

Shemsu, I think the problem that everyone is having is not the payment itself. We long ago decided to pay for the extra storage and some other features we wanted. The problem is basically return on investment.
I would not mind paying the $10.00 a tab if GW1 would continue, But we all know that once GW2 goes online everyone will move to GW2 and leave GW1. I purchased all 3 campains plus EOTN, My account has 13 character slots. I purchased the same for my son. And I believe that I made a good investment and I'm getting what I paid for.

BUt to pay for storage $10.00 when the game is going to end when GW2 does not seem too wise to invest. I think the problem is the $10.00 tag. I, at least would have purchased the extra tabs if the price was more reasonable like $5.00 to $7.00.

Don't take me wrong. I like this game and the work Anet has put on the changes. Its just that $10.00 is $3.00 more than what I'm willing to pay.

(Quick note for the 'just buy another account' people; not everyone is of a level of understanding to consider it even possible to run two GW clients at the same time, or has fifteen accounts, or gets enough ZKeys a month to revive the US economy. Yes, you do and I do, but my 60 year old dad doesn't and the grand majority of players don't. Honestly, most casual players don't even know what the monthly tournaments are. Convenience sells; ever wonder why they sell cigarettes in petrol stations?)

I'll pay for it, and a hell of a lot of people will right with me. So lets say the entire guru subscribership doesn't. Guess what, we represent a vanishingly small fraction of Guild Wars accounts. No one's going to care and frankly from some of the reactions on here its like the announcement was: All accounts will be given extra storage but will be restricted to the Battle Isles only until a $10 unlock fee is paid in the online store.

In short; you don't want to pay for it, don't pay for it. Pay for it later when you do want it. Don't ever pay for it. Spend the ten bucks on pantyhose and strut around your bedroom singing the greatest hits of Tina Turner into your hairbrush. Whatever. But Anet is a business, and besides the startup costs for each game they haven't charged us a penny in four years. Frankly, if Regina came on here and opened a topic saying Guild Wars was going to close down due to economic restraints unless enough people offered a voluntary ten dollar donation I'd be going for my wallet like a Raptor farmer hitting Shadow Form.

On the topic; menagerie, excellent. Zaishen quests; spot on, will go some way to gathering the remaining players in one place so we can actually co-op again. I dunno about you guys, but I've spent so long looking at three necro heroes I've started seeing them in the faces of my children and last night I called out Livia's name during sex.

Don't really mind about the HoM stuff, yeah I'm sure it'll please a lot of people but I've never really gone for virtual self-worship. Oh yeah, and somebody a few pages back asked incredulously who's going to bother collecting a load of virtual pets ... where the hell have you been since 1996?

1. New Equipment Pack bag is a wonderful idea. Most people carry around multiple weapon sets, so it'll be nice to have an extra bag to hold all your weapon sets without having to use up half a regular storage bag. I wonder how this new bag will be acquired, and what, if anything, it will cost? They say "assorted sizes", so maybe there will be a smaller and larger equipment bag with different costs and/or acquisition methods?
Now if only we can get a 6th bag for books.....they can call it a Book Bag.

2. Purchasable storage panes for your storage chest is a good idea too, but $10 is too steep. I'd rather just buy an extra character slot for the same price. $5 seems more in line if you ask me. But the the free pane promo is definitely a win.

3. Zoo sounds like fun.

4. It sounds like the "new quests" aren't really new. They just give you new rewards for replaying old content (story missions and dungeons and such). Not necessarily a bad thing, but some brand new content would have been cool.

As far as new storage goes, we're getting 2 separate things added to the game:

1. Every character gets a 5th bag slot for an equipment pack bag, which is used exclusively for holding weapons and armor. Nothing about cost or acquisition method is mentioned, but it does say there will be "assorted sizes" of these bags.

2. Each account will have the option of purchasing, for $10, additional storage panes in your storage chest (up to 4 additional panes per account). 1 free storage pane will be given as a reward in an upcoming, still to be announced, promotion. It is unclear whether this free storage pane counts against the the cap of 4 additional storage panes per account, but based on the exact verbiage used, I'm guessing that it will not.

Hope that clears it up for you.

I always thought that GW pve quests lacked rewards, maybe zaishen quests will solve this problem.

We won't get any new content (new areas) for GW, so these quests are the best we could have wished for.
